Got my email from newgraham! Shipping Tuesday :) Now I'm really p*ssed. First I had to chase NGK as I didn't get a notification email even though I signed up as soon as the millie went on their website. They eventually email me back confirming they have one held for me - I emailed them straight bac...

Also, in case anybody hasn't noticed, these dealers are usually set up to drop your name from the notification list after they notify you once, so you have to put your name back on the list each time they email you if you want to be notified again. I've been on the waiting list at NGK since the Cru...

Looking forward to my first new Spydie folder in nearly 4 years. Still waiting for my email from Annie at NGK - I signed up for notification when the Cru Millie was announced - hopefully they'll get stock once the collectors club is sorted. The only question now is will I be able to resist putting m...

Quite possibly the most patronizing regurgitation of pseudoscientific bollocks I've heard in a very long time. Somebody please close this thread.

Thanks for the advice Bladekeeper, but its probably time to admit I'm not new at this game and have been importing knife stuff for 15+ years & I know the UK knife law as its part of my day job. Back when I had spare cash (i.e. before I got married!) I even bought a Civilian from a US dealer who ...

Sorry - no +1 from me. I've watched about half a dozen of his vids and I just couldn't face a single more. In one vid he is chopping away at a fallen tree in the snow...for a while it was car crash tv just watching him wildly swinging away and just waiting for the vid to cut away to him in hospital ...

Thanks for the tips guys. I don't think I could afford to buy a Millie over here in the UK - they are at least double the price they are in the US and that's for just the basic production model. One problem is that I can only see the Cruwear Millie for preorder on two sites - one just won't ship to ...

Am I the only one who doesn't carry a Spydie every day? My EDC is a 4" scandi ground high carbon fixed blade, generally backed up with a Leatherman Skeletool for pliers, cutters & drivers. When I know I'm going to be more indoors than out I'll swap the scandi for a ZDP Endura...well I did u...

Best dealer for international sprint orders?

Any of my non-American spydie friends out there have any good experiences to report with US dealers pre-ordering sprint run specials? Having given up on trying to get hold of a Para 2 or a Yojimbo I'm now looking ahead and trying to preorder a Cruwear Military, but the only dealers I can find either...

Not sure why we are discussing this today - the OP in the linked article is digging up dirt about a campaign to ban long pointy kitchen knives from back in 2005. It didn't happen. We did lose the right to buy fake £40 wallhanger katanas - so what? I could still buy an NBTHK certified shinsakuto if I...

I don't think the return policy is "dodgy" - here's a snip from a dealer that is very highly regarded by members here: Maybe it's just my perspective - in Blighty its more common to return stuff to point of sale - over here you wouldn't expect to have to send your beans back to Heinz or y...

Having whinged I couldn't get my Xmas para 2 anywhere I took a look at ordering a blue para yesterday but something kind of put me off. I got a bit of a shock when the shipping costs to Blighty came up as $999,999,999...a quick email and they kindly dropped that to $50 as long as the total bill was ...

I wanted one really badly, trying to get one from a decent supplier for about four months as my Xmas gift to me but got screwed twice by a internet dealer who claimed to have stock of S35V paras but couldn't come through so I ended up spending the money on the family's Xmas instead. I know Amazon ha...

Used to carry an original PST which was too big to pocket with no clip, but have been given a micra, juice something with pliers and now carry a cf skeletool clipped into my jeans with a full set of driver bits in my BOB...which come to think of it also has the old PST and a SAK in it.

I don't edc a Millie (I don't have one) but I do regularly edc an Endura or a fixed puuko with a 4" blade at work and almost always also carry something small and folding like a Ladybug 2 or a Squirt because I've learnt from experience that every so often someone will say to me "I understa...

My Xmas gift to me was going to be a S35V Para 2 and a Navaja ordered from a stateside online shop but the dealer made such a balls of my order they charged my credit card twice without securing my order and went out of stock of the Para 2 before they could sort it all out. I don't do the sprint run thing but I would love to see a Para 2 in scandi ground CPMD2 maybe DLC'ed for corrosion resistance - get rid of the bushing pivot blade play and it would be the perfect EDC for me.
