Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Currently a CRKT squid. I just reground my Resilience to a tanto and straightened the spine, once I find some pocket clip screws I'll be rocking that again.

Maybe it was because of the new TSA rules on knives?
They could have seen it but not have cared or thought it was a SAK.

It was some other model before it was called the police.
You said it was aluminum first then stainless steel. If its aluminum it's worth a Pretty penny. Is its the ladder, it's just an old police. The aluminum handled ones are a rare sprint run.

I tried to heat treat the brass, it was splotchy because I forgot to degrease it and it lost the spring-ness it had before.
Oh well, live and learn. Time to make a new one :)

The knife does not have to be centered to work, a nice thing to have, but not necessarily a must.
Some knives can not be centered without bladeplay, just the way it is.

Yes you can convert it to a SJ. You have to angle the notch in the blade where the lobkbar goes to a fairly shallow angle.
It's feasible but a lot easier to buy a UKPK, and then you have another knife in the collection.

Hand hammered brass suspension clip.

A little project for my EDC.
Sorry for the notebook paper background and possible bad lighting. At least it's in 1080.
Works great for the time I've played around with it, though I need to spring temper it because I'm afraid of the brass bending out.

I don't have a Junior but what I have heard of it is that it is made for EDC for younger people. It was designed essentially for "kids" hence then name Junior. It is not meant for very hard use but will hold up to normal/heavy EDC usage. If you are thinking about buying one, you may not li...
