Re: Benchmade 940

The Benchmade 940 knife is simply great. Warren Osborne's great at making actually useful man jewelry. Wish Sal got to him before Les.

What would you be looking for a Spyderco knife to do "better" than your Benchmade 940?

Re: H1 Spyderhawks

I thought there would be a plain-edged one to take even more money from me. If I have to have only one, I'm happier than heck it's the Spyder-Edged version. Can't wait.

Re: H1 Spyderhawks

Each moment that passes is a moment closer to a Spyderhawk Salt with orange, FRN scales. And I'm one moment more psyched.

Re: Why the Native 5 in Maxamet?

Is it wrong that I'm drooling over the knife because its scales are gray FRN? It's a cute combination. RadioactiveSpyder's scales look mega-stunning, too.

Re: Why does CPM S90V get such high marks?

With all of the company exclusives in S90V, preferring S110V is helping you stay frugal. So there's that.

Re: H1 Spyderhawks

Been pretending I'm patient  Tasman 2 looks slightly classier than my Tasman, but it's still not an orange Spyderhawk Salt. Even found myself looking at sleek spydies with ledeburitic alloys, but they're even further from the orange Spyderhawk Salt ideal. And ideally, the orange Spyderhawk Sal...

Re: 19c27 anyone?

MBS-26 is in the same family. Can't remember, but tell myself Gin-1, ATS-55 and BD1 are close, too. Had a Suisin chef knife in 19C27. All of its amazing performance and everything about it had to do more with the craftspeople hired by the Aoki family versus the steel used. Make it as hard as it can ...

Lapping on a 1,200 grit diamond will make it finer and use will make it finer still. Did so with my Double Stuff.
