You will hear many great things about the sharpmaker on these forums and I'm sure they are all true.
I have not tried one myself and the only reason I have not is because before I heard about the sharpmaker I found the <a href="http://www.razoredgesystems.com">Razor Edge System</a>

The Meerkat is a great design.
I have been using my Meerkat PE as a EDC for 5-6 weeks.
It's not the most solid lock up knife I have, but it works just fine for opening and cutting up boxs.

I just got done sharpening my navigator a couple of hours ago using the razor edge clamps and DMT hones.
I have always thought that VG-10 steel got a little bit better edge on it when I was done then my knives in other steels.

When was the Salsa first introduced?



How does the Titanium Spyderco compare to the aluminum ones?



Does the titanium model weigh more or less then the aluminum one?



I have the blue salsa and was looking at getting a titanium one.

I wonder if the Japan Pride is made over here in the U.S. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

It's all good and I like my pride as there is nothing wrong with it.

It just struck me as kind of funny when I was looking it over this morning. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 ...

I was looking over my knives this morning befor work. I never gave it much thought before, but the one knife I have with a USA flage on it is made in Japan.



After thinking about it a bit I found it strange that a knife with such a name "Pride" and that would have a USA flag on it would be made ...

The navigator is a great knife. I just started using my navigator again as my EDC.

I had been using a Meerkat PE 440C for the last 8 weeks or so. It just does not hold the edge like the VG-10 on my navigator.

I have the clip off my navigator. It is in the bottom of my right front pocket.
This lets me carry a second blade (meerkat)in the same pocket by using it's clip.

I'm not sure if it looks nicer or not.

I wanted the yellow handle because most of the time it's preaty dark on shore were we clean the fish.
A yellow handle makes it easier to see if it gets left on the cleaning table or dropped on the ground.

Seems as if i can get them sharper.

I made the file size of the movie smaller.
Same movie just a smaller file to download.
Good news for people on a dial up connection such as myself.

If you are on a dial up connection you should be able to view it as it's downloading now.

I just received a spyderco yellow catcherman today.



I really like the shape of the blade and handle.



The blade on the one I got is hollow-ground.



The black handle one in the new spyderco catalog is flat-ground.



Would the flat-ground blade have more flex to the blade?
