Hi Steelcity,

I think I would prefer to avoid any coatings. They add variables.

Re: "HRC as advertised." Who is accurately listing HRC?

Hi Naperville, It is an interesting and viable question, but as mentioned, not as simple as it might sound. The variables are great, most heat treaters don't like a 2 number range, most factories don't want to argue about whether or not their RC is the best, procedures vary quite a bit, etc. etc. Ge...

Hi Doc,

Didn't take it any other way.

Hope you get well soon. Gail and I ended up with pneumonia after the Eugene show.

Re: Civilian vs Matriarch 2 Wave

Hi Rosco, Welcome. A waved Matriarch is very effective. I would suggest some training. fist line of defense is avoidance, then running, then spray like a gel, then only if absolutely necessary, blade. If you cut someone with a knife, you will probably go to jail. Whether or not you stay there is the...

Re: AFI Performance Flash Batch

Any suggestions on steel? My first thought was K390, but they aren't planning on making any until OCT '19, though we probably won't have the design finalized until then.

Re: s90v SHAMAN IS OUT

It should break in with the burrs worn off. I've carried mine quite a bit and it is now very smooth. I really like S90V.

Re: Sal, Can we get CPM 15v?

Thanx Shawn,

Would you please email your exact tempering method? We're expecting a sample of 15V and we'd like to try to see if we can do that in production.

Re: AFI Performance Flash Batch

The Delica is the current plan. I've got a drawing, now to see if the maker can get to the odd specs. Very thin edge, high hollow grind, high hardness steel, etc.

Hi Jib,

Thanx for not taking it apart. Better for us to see. Nothing special to go with the knife. I work here and everyone knows who I am.

If a person really just wants ONE single folder for let´s say 50 years.
Other than maybe a wife, husband, parent or child, I can't think of much that one would want for 50 years? ;)
