I also made some sheaths....
I generally don’t carry knives on my belt if I can help it.

The leather sheath that comes with the Province rides high but I’d say it’s functional. :)

Hi Bloke,

I removed the plastic insert from the sheath and it rides better in my opinion.

Re: KC Exclusive Shaman Rosewood REX 45

For what it's worth. I sure like mine. I have one of each of the Shaman sprints and exclusives. I know I' partial because I designed the model, but I must confess, I like them all.

Hi Aaron,

'We're still testing SPY27. II'll check on the 45.

Hi James,

We generally don't in our literature, but when afi's on the forum ask, I try to give some sort of an answer. I just don't want to get into the argument with the "experts".

I'm right handed and Gail is left handed. That's why we created left handed knives from the onset.

Anything is possible. But there must be enough demand so we don't lose our shirts creating the Piece.

Re: CPM SPY27 steel

FYI, We are fortunate to have Larrin involved in the knife industry. He is a trained metallurgist that has a father that made steel. His presence is a gift to the knife afi's as he has the experience, the knowledge and the passion that is difficult to find in this industry. Cliff Stamp is another on...

Re: CPM SPY27 steel

Creating a new steel is not an easy task and we've been working on this for more than a year. Like anything new in business, it is a gamble. We hope for the best. We've done quite a few new things in the knife industry. Some are better than others, but to not try is to stop.......at least for Spyder...

Re: Sprints

I really can't speak to long term value but the last time I saw a "PIG" Police model for sale, they were $1.000. We sold them for $50 in 1984 and made 2400 pieces. We make sprints because some of our customers like and appreciate them. We make exclusives because some of our dealers and distributors ...

Re: Straight Razor from Spyderco

I’ve always had the understanding that you want a (comparatively) soft steel for a straight razor, something that is then regularly touched up on a leather strap to keep it razor sharp. Is that incorrect? Would a modern “super steel” be fitting in that application? sal New exotic powdered steels ha...

Re: Sun/Moon Chappy

Comparing the price of an injection molded handle with a machined G-10 handle with inlays is a bit unrealistic, in my opinion.

It seems to me that the legality of sprints is a distraction from the original question. Let's avoid an argument please.

Re: Quick question: Upcoming K390 Endura family: Sprint runs or regular production?

The plan is for a sprint series. I'd like to do all of the models in the "Endura family". I'd be intrested in what additional blade configs you wight also like?

Hi Jackson, I must admit that I am personally involved in the project. Mike is an old personal friend and we've been chatting about this for years. We're talking about things like Banite razors, CPM razors and homemeisters involved in the project. On fact, Mike and Ed are working on a salt pot heat ...

We've had a few offers in the past, but we weren't in a position to do it. I guess we're in a better position now, so we'll see where it goes.
