Street Bowie and Swick2

Won an auction on Ebay for a Swick2, which I picked up this morning. I was then pleased this afternoon to have a Street Bowie in my hands courtesy of the mail truck. I am very impressed with both of them. Any recommendations on carry?

Sheer luck and that it was sitting in the display case for a few months without anyone noticing it.

An ATR Titanium for $34 and I just received from the bay a black FRN Meerkat for $55 (not great but it was in my want list).

A Manix2 would be a nice addition. For something different try a Matriarch2. Although if you find a Yojimbo2 get it when you see it.

I tried a Caly 3.5 but I couldn't close it with one hand without bringing the blade onto my index finger. Is there a trick to it? From what I have found is this method. Now I am left handed so just mirror it if you are right handed. Place index finger in Spyderhole and thumb on the lock. Depress lo...

Very true. I tell people who are curious about Spyderco knives to not buy them as they get a large amount of them in the end, then I just smile and say go ahead.

It is a good question. Probably you will find the answer in your sig line :) Anyway, congrats. Both Caly3 and 3.5 are among my favorite knives Very funny. And to think it all started with an Endura4 at a Navy Exchange in Norfolk. I really like the Caly and am sure it will be competing with my Nativ...

Caly 3.5

Received a Caly 3.5 G10 model in the mail yesterday and after handling it, cutting stuff, etc I am wondering why I didn't buy this knife earlier! It sits well in the hand and I appreciate the jimping on the choils on both sides of the blade. I also enjoy the wire clip as in my opinion it is a little...

Just noticed my Native 5's blade sits to the side a bit when closed too. Regardless a great knife and one of my favorites!

Endura4 CE, Tasman Salt, and my Native Lightweight are what I consider my "beater" knives. Although my Manix gets a fair amount of use at work too.

It's too late, you're past the point of no return now. But it's a fun addiction :)

BD583's recommendations are good. The Manix2 is one of my personal favorites along with the Matriarch2 and Native5.

Looking at getting a Calypso Jr. as I have been in the mood for discontinued spydies. Also have my eyes set on a Bradley, Yo2, and possibly a Chapparal. However, I am intrigued by a good number of the knives Mr. Blonde was kind enough to share with us from the Amsterdam meet.

Native Question

Why was the Native not made in a PE black blade configuration? Only black blade Natives I see are the CE Lightweights. Just curious.
