I dont really know if I would buy one. I mean, they were years ahead of their time when introduced, and were GREAT knives at that time. Now however, I think that the Delica 4 does everything the Worker could of have ever done, and does it much better. I'm sure many spydie fans would get one, but why ...

Oh man, don't even get me started on this topic. I live in the UK, an AWFUL country for knives, guns, anything exciting. Pulling out a SAK in public is likely to get the cops on you. Even though its legal. I HATE it when people think of others as criminals just because they have a tool that's been ...

Well, since I dont plan on stabbing anyone in the near future, a tanto ain't for me ;) On a serious note, i don't see a use that a tanto could bring, over say, a leaf shaped blade, so I tend to stay away from them.

Finally, the Para 2 arrived

Loving the Paramilitary 2 so far. Arrived today. Didn't take long to cycle to the woods and snap some pics. I thought it would be cool to share them :)

As mentioned already, LET IT WEAR. Please do not do anything to your Manix. When I got mine, it took 5 days with around 100 openings a day. The knife takes a while to wear in, so be patient and just open and close. Repeat many times.

Funny how we have been more times on the moon than the bottom of our oceans. Still, hopefully, we'll be going to Mars in the next 30-40 years.

Can't exactly spydie flick a thumb stud knife ? I much prefer manuals and knives with the spyderhole. Even though where I currently reside, switchblade are legal to own and carry (Lithuania), I still do not like them. To me, it is just a gimmick. Also, I dont like the fact that SB's always have more ...

Personally, I dont bother sharpening my BK2 on stones. I convexed that sucker with 220 grit sandpaper and a mousemat. Now, it is finished with 1000 grit sandpaper and goes through wood like a laser :) Also, I will get a picture for you tommorow

I definately agree with what you said. For example, a really polished, sharp edge will not cut cut rope as effectively as a knife sharpened at 600 grit.

Well, personnaly, I can take the weight, so I take a manix 2 with me. I love the strength, and the fact that my manix is convexed makes it excellent for making feather sticks. When it gets cold , i really like the fact that there is no slim liner to disengage with thick gloves. I just pull on the ...

Can a knife be too sharp?

Hey everyone.
So, I just finished sharpening my edc as the knives were getting dull ( standard Manix 2 with convex edge and Kabar Dozier with convex edge). I finished them with 2000 grit sandpaper and they can both shave hair easily. That is the sharpness level I like my knives at. Now, while ...

Hey, great question! In my opinion, the manix 2 is one of the strongest knives that spyderco makes. I have abused the **** out of the blade (batoning, stabbing multiple times into tree, cutting soda cans) and many more things I have done to this blade. To this day, there is still NO vertical blade ...

Hey and welcome to the forums! I would recommend getting the rock just to get it (hey, its a new spyderco to ...

Thanks :) , and yes, you are right about 154cm shining easily. After a fair bit of use, of the knife has dulled and the polish went away, all it takes is 2 minutes on a strop and the shine and edge is back. And yes, the manix is certainly a great blade, and gets ridiculously sharp fairly easily. In ...
