I recently contacted Spyderco about the proper angle for the Military and the Viele. The info I received and the promptness with which I received should be applauded. Thank you. But my question is this, if Spyderco sharpens its knives at 17 deg.; why is the SharpMaker set at 20 deg. and 15 deg.? It ...

What is the correct angle to sharpen the Viele? Just got both and the angles appear vastly different. Just getting ready for when they get dull.
