This, or my blue Ambitious. I am even considering getting rid of the pocket clip on Ambitious, as it fits just great in the fifth pocket on my jeans.

- Wharnie or Sheepsfoot blade
- About 3" blade (perfect for EDCing)
- FFG
- FRN or G-10 (lightweight!)
- But most of all - COLOURS! Not just black vs stainless...

For me the only downside of the Byrd line is the 'boring' black. Give me blue, green, purple, orange - and I will get a dozen of Byrds!

My surprise of the day: SpyderEdge on my Dragonfly Salt is actually very good for peeling veggies (in my case, a cucumber I had for breakfast). I was expecting a lot more difficulties, but it went real well and smooth.

Last night I started to feel like I was developing a cold. I took some Aspirin just before bedtime, etc. In the morning, I made myself some ginger root + hot water tea. Turns out the blue Manix Lightweight with plain edge is just perfect for slicing ginger, and the choil also gives you great control ...

Two options:
1. You got the buyer's address wrong -> returned shipping. US->RU->US might take more than 2 months (if shipping by sea).
2. The buyer got the knife AFTER they got their money back from Paypal. And thought it would be fair to return the knife (as they had not paid for it).

#1 sounds ...

First Spyderedge ever. I am the second owner and I remembered why I love getting hand-me-down Spydercos. The first scratch has been inflicted and the factory edge has been used to the point that I need to reprofile it.

I have been ...

Absolute rubbish. Have you ever tried opening a Dyad left handed? Only one you can open reasonably easily that way is the SE blade of the C44, and even that's a bit awkward. On the others, the "near" blade blocks most of the Spyderhole on the "far" blade you're trying to open.

Good point. I've ...

Ummm... Guys, but for the Dyad/Micro dyad the handedness does not make much of a difference. If it's right-handed for the plain blade, then it's left-handed for the serrated one, and the other way round...

OK, so another el stupido question. I kinda understood from the posts above that the Salts are 'H1 only' - the liners, nuts & bolts, lock elements are all made of H1?

Are Salts dishwasher-safe?

This might be a silly question, but...

As H1 steel 'will not rust', does this mean that the knives from the Salt line may be washed in a dishwasher? I don't know how FRN behaves in high temperature...

I got mine yesterday, so I might share my 1st Impression too. It's so light! The translucent handle looks really nice, and it's quite solid. If you squeeze it hard, it does bend a bit, but there's no way for it to break. The build quality on mine is great too - the blade is centered, the grind is ...

I took my shiny new Dragonfly Salt (SE) to work today to test-drive it. Used it on a bell pepper which I had as a breakfast snack, then on tomatoes I had as a side for my lunch. Heck, this lil' bugger is a serious slicer!
