On the one hand, I think you're eliminating some excellent knives from consideration based on a tang stamp. On the other, if you want an excellent US made Spyderco of that size, the Native V would be your best bet. Personally, I'd take the CF Chaparral or a Sage over it, but that's just me ...

Trying to find a good small to medium sized knife for a friend. It must be US made. Thinking chaparral/delica sized. The more durable the better. What are your thoughts. sprints are great as long as they are still available...

I have narrowed it down (still convinced it is burgundy) to the jr half serrated. It was micarta for sure. The guy that introduced me to spyderco sold me on it at the time. After viewing the pics above, it's just like the jr serrated, but more brown or burgundy. I'm needing to find this more and ...

Yeah. It was burgundy for sure. About 6" and 1/2 serrated. Anyone know what exact model name I am after?

Stolen old Goddard

Hi. First spyderco was a burgundy micarta half serrated Goddard. It was stolen 10 years ago. It was about 6"ish when open and all pinned construction. I can't get passed its loss. It had a silver clip. Can't find one on the bay. Help? Is it ok to post this on this forum and where to find a similar ...

When last I posted a pic, I was able to have it appear in the thread and not as a link. Any idea how I did that?

Found and ordered a new Southard low-rider clip

Found and ordered one last week. They appear out of stock now. Just figured others may want to do a google search for them too.

Didn't like the orginal one so much. It bent/broke (my fault all the way) when I let it hook on the carpet as I got up from laying down.

That's the thing, you start using it as a work knife and then you cant even imagine not having this sharp prybar work tool with you all the time...
