Thank you for all the information guys. I sure do appreciate it. PS SAL if you get around to reading this thread I think a few of us including myself would really like to know why you chose to run with a 2" blade on the Chicago. And perhaps you could tease us with some sprint tun maybes or nevers? :D

I'm submitting a photo of the ultra light manix 2....this is a prize knife from last year and I took this photo earlier today in the Lost Creek wilderness inside the Pikes national forest. I use this knife heavily and can't really describe how great it is, truly a model I had to experience to appre...

Spyderco Manix 2 Translucent Black :D

Although I would not recommend just going with a folder. Get yourself a fixed blade.

All locks will wear out in time...... Under normal use it's more than strong enough and will last a life time. Various things will speed up wear such as constant flicking and other abuse of the knives. Bottom line is if a knife is a flip toy the lock will wear out faster than one that isn't... Are ...

Fake Q?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Spyderco-q-blad ... 4d0a182b6c

I don't remember the Q saying 'blade' on it. A red flag might also go up do to it not having a box and still marked as "new".

My first spyderco was a persistence. My last spyderco was a Manix 2 translucent black. Over time I have been surprised to find that all my spydercos excel at pretty much everything I use them for. I have yet to have one brake or snap off a tip. I am always amazed at how much knife you get for the mo...

It depends on what I am doing that day but the simple answer to your question is yes, every day. If I am going to work (I have to dress nice) I carry a Juice S2 in a leatherman leather pouch on my belt. If I don't want it on my belt while at work then I carry a micra. Around the yard it's a leatherm...

H1: Great steel that is rust proof. I often use my spyderco salt while the weather is wet or if I am at the beach. The edge retention is great although it can be a bit diffacult to sharpen when the time comes. VG10: I have much use with this steel to be honest. I hiked a lot with it and found it to ...
