Re: Mantra or Mantra 2?

That lock bar looks awful thin. Any issues so far?

Welcome!
I think the Ouroboros is a really neat new design, and it is on my list for sure. Thanks for stopping by and giving us some more insight :D

If it's fairly priced, I'll get one. Otherwise, I'll pass. I dig the green, though.

Spyderco is still the best value for the money, as far as I'm concerned. Besides, this does not raise the price THAT much.

I'm really glad I didn't buy a Dogtag. I kind of harbored a hope they'd make a locking knife like it, and they did!

Re: Had a great time with my dad yesterday.

Way to pass on the addiction! Last year my dad told me he wanted a folder for cutting bread while hiking, but he wanted me to make the scales. He knew it would have to be Spyderco :D I made blue scales for a serrated Tenacious, and it's now his hiking knife :spyder:

I like it. The blade looks a tad small for the handle, but there's nothing you could have done about that. Overall, very nice!

Southard. I just couldn't make it sit comfortably in my hand. I ended up selling it and getting a Sage 1 and ZT 0350, both of which I really like. I'm happy to say that's the only Spyderco I've ever held that I didn't like :)

Right now it's a ZT 0560 Blackwash and an SE Manbug. I replace the 0560 with a Sage 1 if I'm going to be around NKP's.

I spend a lot of time in Norway, and they have really strict knife laws. They gave you a stare because you're not a construction worker or hiker, which are pretty much the only people I've seen with knives there.

If you wipe it and oil it every day, I can't imagine there would be any problems. Also, wear it blade side out.
