I'd love to see a PM with blade length of 2.99" and below, but that's really just a selfish request on my part due to local knife laws.

I actually prefer FRN to G10, so I'm diggin' this news. Would it be reasonable to expect that this variation will be cheaper than the G10 model?

I've been clamoring for a Comp Lock Sage for quite some time. Sadly, being as humble as Sal is, I doubt he would want to use one of his locks on the Sage. That is, since the Sage honors knife makers by using their lock designs.

Humility is overrated. Give the people what they want! ;)

Can you expand on this? Is the "S" a model name of a folder?

Any Chance of a Sage (or Other ≤3" Knife) With Compression Lock?

I love the compression lock but the models all seem to be rather large. Since the Sage series is all about showcasing different locks, I wondered if we might see a variant with the compression lock at some point.

Heck, anything 3" or less (to make for legal carry in California) would be awesome.

Thanks for the input fellas. I figured it was just manufacturing marks of some sort, and I figured it wouldn't hurt to double-check.

Dad's already been using the knife and it's been a hit. The orange color is great for summer, too. :)

Delica 4 Question--Is This Normal?

I just bought an Orange Delica 4 for my pops, being that today is Father's Day and all.

Anyway, I noticed that the underside of the blade has grooves in it, and I don't recall seeing this on other Delica 4's.

Is this normal? And if not, is it something that warrants sending the knife back for a ...

Well, I went ahead and pre-ordered one of these from KnifeCenter just now.

Seems like the jury's still out as to when these will actually start shipping again, but with a knife like this I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I'm a huge fan of the compression lock and this Wharncliffe style blade with ...

Do the screws thread onto the scales + the steel liners? Or only the liners?

Chaparral right now, although I do still enjoy the Delica4 a lot considering the price.

The CF scales on the Chaparral are just dead sexy, and the blade is absolutely perfect.

I don't know if we're allowed to directly post coupon codes here, so just run a google search for "nutnfancy cutlery shoppe coupon."

I believe the coupon code gets you free Priority Mail within the US. :)

+1 for cutleryshoppe.

They seem to be out of the plain black G10 variant, but I like them a lot and the free shipping (coupon code required) is a big plus.

Legal issues aside, I just don't see a practical point in using a slipjoint over something that locks.

Certainly there must be valid reasons (i.e. nostalgia, or the aforementioned legal issues) for people to use them, but it's just not for me.

vg10 and s30v are my 2 favorite stainless variety blades

While my experience with other steels is non-existent, I have a hard time imagining anything being more to my liking than these two. That works out great for me too, since knives with these steels tend to be on the lower end of the price ...
