I find that too. I've never caught a wire clip on something and only a few times with an hour glass one, but I seem to manage it semi-frequently with the one on the milly.

My fluted military is the only one I haven't carried in my collection. Not because I'm opposed to marking her up, but because I spend most of my time on campus since I've gotten it and try to carry ones that fit in the watch pocket of my jeans to be unobtrusive about it.
