If it was me, I would like to buy a spydie knife with 2 bugs, having one on each side. Now that would be cool.
Same location as how it is done now (left side), but having the same bug etched on the other side (right side)

What you did is the right thing to do. And from my experience, this is how you should use the sharpmaker. Sharpening is about consistency. The 30 or 40 deg is just a guide. Doing the method that you mentioned will greatly speed up your sharpening. Shall you want to really stick to the 30/40 you will ...

Another vote for Fenix!
I have been using fenix for field work and most of my colleagues have already joined the bandwagon. Our current impression on current Fenix lineup are superb!

My opinion is that EDC and sheeple friendly knives should be below 3"

I go for a persistence and you only spend USD30, built like a tank and very good in value. And if your friend gets bitten, let him do his collecting on the more expensive knives. There are a few people in the forum who got bitten ...

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! I fear though that if I do too much research into lights I'll start trying to justify more expensive ones, and it will become a massive money pit. That's exactly what happened when I started doing too much research into knives :p

Honestly I think it is about ...

Hi Chuck, thanks for the tip.
I will try to find leather suppliers in Manila. I have a few questions though.

a. what type of leather do you use? From my understanding, the leather used for stropman are suede? Or the second skin? So what will be the specs for the leather?
b. where do you get the ...

I agree with the strop. Have you seen Jdavis882's post and his experience with stropman strops. this in my opinion is a much more affordable alternative. If these strops are easy to acquire from where I live I would have already purchased one.

I'd recommend Fenix flashlights.
Although these lights are made in China. Quality in my opinion unsurpassed. All in IP-X8 rating. These are excellent lights, good value, excellent quality.

Personally I am a person who prefers light with 1xAA or 2xAA (no AAA for me) 'before'.
But after I have ...

My crazy suggestion is to buy a fully serrated knife and just reprofile the bottom to a plain edge :P
But this will take a lot of custom work.

I would love and buy it. Although I do understand the difficulties of designing a new model and it could be a long process, I'd imagine it a bit like the Persistence (the mini-para), the Tenacious (para), Resilience (mili). I think of the Persistence and Ambitious just shorter versions of the ...

Hmmm... this is also a good collection idea.
I'm also new to spyderco and I want to collect 1x spyderco with a different lock type.
I can also expand my collection to country of manufacture as well. My wish list:

USA: Paramilitary2, MiniPara2 (a dream), Sharpmaker, SM ultra fine stones
China ...

If BM Griptilian can be made to a Mini Griptilian and have been proven successful.
I just thought that Spyderco should be also make a mini para2.
A small knife can do big knife tasks, but a big knife will not be able to do small knife tasks.

Spyderco Edge Angle Guide + Sharpmaker mod

As I am a new Spyderco fan, I just found out that the spyderco edge angle guide was sold before. Too bad I did not reach the trial runs to get hold of one. I bet it was a good tool. Any chance of this being sold again?

If not, I have a suggestion.
Why not include this into the future sharpmaker ...

I loved to love the delica, but the 2.5mm blade thickness is just not for me.
I love to have thicker blades. The tenacious line to my opinion are referred to some people as a budget para2. But the steel and ergos cannot match the para2.

Mini-Para2

Hi Guys,

Is there by chance a mini para2 on the works or a similar knife closest to this? I really love the para2. But the knife is just too big to where I live. I was thinking that a mini para2 (2.99" and below) will be a good addition to the family.

I have to agree that the Centofante is indeed a good looking knife. I really like the silver spyder on it.

Hi guys,

Just to clarify, I'm not suggesting the delicas to have a 50/50 choil. I'm not a fan of 50/50 choil myself as the cutting edge length will shorten. My suggestion was to make the delica's thumb choil mate with the handle in the closed position. Using the dragonfly only as an example as it ...

Delica5 aethetics improvement

Hello Guys,

I perfectly understand your concerns here as I had similar problems as you did on the sharpmaker before.

Shall Spyderco create an entry level kitchen knife set at an affordable price. I will definitely be buying these.
The bug bite is starting to get strong on me. If its a knife that I want, I must be spyderco.
Hopefully Spyderco will make more fixed blade options.
