I missed this poll but here is another vote for the Air

You can carry a small pocket knife 'if you have a reason' - ie going fishing etc. Walking the urban streets you're just asking for trouble if you do bump into the police.

So yes, knife carry culture not really a thing here.

Sadly I think you will be very disappointed in the availability of outdoor knives in general in Japan. I can only speak from experience in Tokyo but shops selling any non kitchen knives are few and far between.

Ohhh I didnt reliase this was a thread on the Stretch!! More encouragment for me to buy one. (Maybe throw Stretch into the title somewhere for more views.)

The more I look at the SS K390 Stretch the more its growing on me haha, maybe I just haven't bought a new knife in ages. I think I'll just pull the trigger.

Funny, its a Japan made knife yet stuff like this is so hard to buy now in Japan.

I have a Bradley Folder and a PM2 and I much prefer the Bradley blade shape, though its a bit heavy in the pocket. So this drew me to the Stretch. Will have to get my hands one one.

Fair enough, the straight spine does seem popular. Oh well, grass is always greener!! Ill have to try to track down a Stretch 2.

Im super keen to get a Stretch, its been on my rader for ever and also very interested to try K390.

But I want the original Stretch blade shape - has there been a definitive answer on whether this combo will be made? I have seen the question posed a few times, I haven't been able to find a answer ...

Techno hasn't left my pocket since day one. I just love it. Hands down my favourite knife.

I keep trying to tell myself that I have enough knives now..........but every time I see a PM2 I know there is a glaring hole in my small collection. It will be my next purchase for sure.

The quality of photo in this thread is exceptional, great work all!

I love the Techno, but part of its appeal to me is the fact that its a little tank of a knife.

Im sure a scaled up version would be a great knife, but nothing I would be especially interested in.
