I stole a C53 yesterday

;) ...well, only figuratively! I won what appears to be a very clean PS titanium C53 Peter Herbst on the bay for under $90 ! I’ve always loved this knife, and I can’t wait to see it in the flesh. It reminds me of the original Tron movie with the blue lines (I’m an early 80s child). Some pics fr...

Re: What are your favorite ~3.5 inch/ ~3 inch edge 50/50 choil Spydercos and why?

The R, all day, every day. THE most underrated Spyderco that unfortunately only ever came out in limited runs. 25% of the time people ask for a design to be different, they don't know it, but they're asking for the R. https://spydercollector.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/r_collection.jpg As for the &q...

Re: Cruwear micarta Bushcraft/Proficient

I'd be in for this. My current camp knife is a Calavera Cutlery Operator, which was on sale at Howe's way back when. It's not exactly a bushcraft pattern but it's convexed A2 and has a comfortable handle and a great sheath.

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

A grail I've been seeking for as long as I realized I loved the "R" model (2012 according to my records). https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/lBoAAOSwW1BePGHR/s-l500.jpg The original skeletonized blade "R." Saw it on ebay for less than $100 so I snapped it up instantly. Looks to have ...

I would go to The Winchester for a pint. I’ll figure the rest out after. :)
I'd meet you there.

It just doesn't seem like it's been a year ago but Brother "tvenuto" has now racked up another complete year on the planet. So today is "tvenuto's" Birthday today and we all need to wish him a very Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday Brother!!! I think Spyderco needs to consider brin...

Re: What's the one that got away?

Bruh, that Nishijin R is sweeeet lol. Yea it's a funny story about that one, for me. I was relatively new to spyderco, and I was mulling over a new purchase. I was checking out the new blue M390 PM2s from Bento Box shop, the original run. I had one in my cart, and waffled a bit, since $150 was like...

Re: What's the one that got away?

I kinda regret not getting the Ulize when it was disco'd. I really like the looks of it but to be honest I probably would have hated sharpening the recurve blade. Certainly not "the one." Spyderco R. Always regretted not buying one. This one kinda doesn't count either. I wasn't into spyder...

Re: Pobody’s Nerfect! Para 3 calamity.

I think he was poking fun at the fervor with which people corrected others for calling it the “Paramilitary 3”. The OP is imagining all of these orthodox Para 3 acolytes heads exploding in unison when their deity commits that very same heresy.

Awesome to hear. Now I have to start working on this again. I’ve pretty much not been working out for the past 6 months due to work and children (I.e. being lazy). Time go get back in the saddle.

I personally enjoy shooting my FNX 45 very much, the recoil feels less “snappy” than my 9.

Re: 9mm vs 40 S&W vs 45 ACP

The gun you carry is always more effective than the gun you won't carry, so if a guy isn't going to carry a 1911 loaded down with .45 because of weight and comfort than whatever he will routinely carry is better than nothing. Everything I own and carry is 9mm now. Another reason for this is because...

Re: Multi quoting

I'm ok with multiquoting if it helps the continuity of the discussion. Multiquoting is mainly annoying when the two or three people going back and forth are mostly engaged in a p$$ing match and that's a separate issue. I'm NOT OK with quoting a large picture, immediately after it was posted, and jus...
