I gave my brother an AUS-8 Delica back in '92. He sharpened it on a bench grinder till the edge ran into the thunb hole before he quit carrying it 2 years ago. : )

I got a Black scaled Satin bladed Para 2 for $87. A couple weeks after that a Gayle Bradley for $96, from the bay. Both were sold as "used", by honest sellers, who could have easly sold them as "new", if they were not honest people.

As above, I wash when needed. Several of my knives have been through the washer, some twice :o . I would not recomend anyone wash there knives in a washing machine, but I just dry good, and oil, and have never noticed any problem at all.
