Cleaning my CF Caly 3

Hi All, I just purchased two Caly 3s (used). One is a G10 SE version and the other is the CF ZDP 189 version. I know that these are "blushingless" designs. The G-10 SE version seems to open smoother. I have taken the PE blade out and cleaned it and reoiled it. It still seems to be less smo...

I actually had a spree this past Tuesday. I picked up a pair of Caly 3s (1 CF ZPD 189 & 1 SE G-10) and a Kershaw Cryo. I did apply Evil's method and think I got a really good deal.

I agree with that the staff there is awesome. They'll let you hold anything in the case. They also have the entire Byrd line on display there. If you are ever close I would recommend stopping by. I'm taking my own advise and going there Monday.

sm-100 Hi All - this is Eric from Summit Materials. We would absolutely love to work with Spyderco and get some of their knives made out of our SM-100. Sal, if you're reading this, we'll stop over at Blade to talk if you can carve out some time for us. We really just got out of the gate May 1 and o...

I agree with the premise of this thread, but I think I'm missing something. Here's a quote from the first listing, the one on the box: "The knife is brand new in box, never handled, never used, never carried." In the second pose the term NIB isn't posted by the seller. I do see where the l...

But you really won't know until YOU handle, and use the knife. You can't go by what you see in a you tube vid, you have to try it yourself. Pure wisdom. I'll admit that I saw a few negative post about the S35V and starting doubting it. I put too much stock into the information from someone else’s o...

Welcome. also check out the spyderwiki section. Sorry, I don't know who's signature it’s in, but as you do more research it is a good place to reference. Also, if someone sends you to the website of the foundry where the steel was made, look at it and say thanks. If you are anything like me, then it...
