What do you mean "its moved to 80-90% in 2 months"? What's moved?
Pat

I believe he means the lock bar engaging the tang of the blade has shifted over to being 80-90% of maximum movement, which would be 100%, or covering the blade tang completely.

Also, I personally feel like the lock bar moving ...

Enjoyed browsing search results for posts with "pair" in the title.

My new favorite Spydie pair in terms of aesthetics is the Lum tanto and the Anso rock lobster. The knives in the picture-link ...

I really hope this is still in the works. I just recently got into spydies, so I've never used a Caly Jr., but I would love to experience it.

My preference would be the fish scale FRN, but whatever the spydercrew churns out, I'm down for. :)

From the pics, it looks like you recessed the spyderco logo on the scales. Amirite?

Our 3 X 8 ultra fine is what I would call a "perfect" stone. It's as flat as flat can be, surface ground with diamond grinders. it's consistent throughout the surface, it requires no oil or water to get a polished edge. It's large enough for most edges including woodworking tools. It's thin enough ...

I have one, but haven't used the steel enough to pass judgment on it yet. Although, I will say that it is my favorite spyderco to date; mostly because of just how smooth yet solid the lockup and travel is, plus the ergos and light weight just nail it out of the park for me.

Lots of great insight here, guys, and I appreciate it.

I totally believe that I will become less satisfied with my knives' sharpness, but I hope I can avoid that slippery slope. :)

I never thought about the microbevels because I haven't delved into them in depth yet, but that is a great point ...

Do I need a spyderco ultra fine benchstone?

Hey all,

I ask this because I get good results with the Double Stuff, and am pretty cheap(why I bought the double stuff in the first place instead of each separate grit benchstones ;)

I already own that and a knives plus strop block, and get great results, but I was wondering what everyone's ...

Yea it's pretty great stuff. The Bi-Directional texturing is really nice also. A TON of grip without the pocket shredding of G10. Never hot or cold to the touch. Feels like more like a high quality hard rubber than plastic.

It's not for everyone, nothing really is ( ;) ). Still, it's one of my ...
