Re: Mr. Glesser, are there any plans to produce this knife at some point?

That propitious little rumbling about the Slysz Swayback made my ears stand up.

Re: Anyone own a Pattada? Or have any hands on info?

How does the Italian fit and finish compare to the Taichung offerings? (Which have been immaculate!) It is comparable with Taichung models, at least in my experience. The wide price range of Taichung produced knives does leave room for some variance in finishing and complexity of design though. For...

Re: Slysz Bowie!

Saw this knife at Blade, and it's superb.
It deserves a better thread than this.

Sounds like a useful job site exercise, to me.
If the guy flunks the bagel-cutting test, then I'll know not to let him use the circular saw.

Cheese

Used the Southard to defend myself against a wheel of red-waxed Gouda.

Thanks Victor. I'm quite looking forward to handling them both, side-by-side.
Got a Nilakka in my pocket, and a Southard on the way. Just pulled the trigger on the Southard, 5 minutes ago. Can't wait. :)

You "made me look," but I'll be damned if I see a lanyard on the Nilakka. :o

So who's got a Nilakka AND a Southard?

The size and weight and scale color are kind of in the same ball park.
Already have the Nilakka; and the Southard seems its perfect alter ego...
You know, one for slicing apples and the other for batoning car doors. :D

Anyone have a pic of the two together? Is that brown G-10 the same?

Another from Marcyn Slyzs, pleazs.

How could you miss? Spyderco and Taichung do a splendid job of bringing Marcyn's unique vision of industrial-strength elegance to life.
The Techno was a triumph. I'd sign up for their next collaboration sight-unseen.

Mine's rock solid as well. It's dominated the rotation for the last couple months and seen a ton of use.
Still like new.

It's supposed to be like that. Sebenzas right out of the box feel the same way. I see from your last post that you've got the situation sussed. My techno is three days old now, and the action is perfect. In a very short time, the detente nib eases down enough to make for a smoother release, while st...
