Hap40 seems like a great steel choice. As for handle color I'm down for most picks. I do really like the grey used on the Cruwear runs.

I snagged one too, I couldn't resist.

I have one of Phil's B&T models in CPM154 and it performs really, really well. Obviously it is a combo of Phil's expert geometry and heat treat, but I've long been a huge fan of CPM154 in other blades. I've wondered why Spyderco hasn't used it more. It doesn't look right to me either. Jimping doesn't look right, markings don't look placed properly, blade grind near the ricasso looks off versus how almost every Para 2 I've had looks.

Forgot I'm also psyched for the "blacked out" Karahawk. I loved mine, but that super shiny ring hanging out of my pocket garnered more attention than I cared for :D.

Very good looking stuff as usual. Really like the Delica Wharncliffe, D'Allara 3, and the Q Ball.

Composition wise it is very similar to like AEB-L, 14C28n, ect. So I would expect similar edge retention.

Mine sharpened up to a razors edge easily, reminded me of like N690co on the stones.

Because you are supporting a theif. And I can tell you from having disassembled my Spydies, they aren't fragile, and it's nothing to be scared of. Just don't over tighten anything, and get a good Torx bit set. Like some Wihas.

Any idea why it's not stonewashed the same as the Techno and Slysz Bowie? Abbazabba said its grippier...guess for traction in wet environments? I really like mine. My only gripe is that the lockup on mine is at about 80% already, and when dis-engaging the lock it's a little gritty almost.
