Re: Spyderco Knives You Want to See Back in Regular Production
The Wayne Goddard series. The best looking Spyderco ever in my opinion.

Re: Let's talk pocket wear...
I'm pretty sure your Grandfather or Great Grandfather never wore out their pockets while carrying their pocket knives. Maybe they were on to something. Just saying.

1st gen Endura with a fully serrated blade. I'm thinking it was 1994. The knife is at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean somewhere between Washington state and Alaska.

Re: Advice on delica/endura maintenance
I've never found the need to disassemble a knife in the last 40 years. Put me down as another guy that just rinses them under the faucet, blows on them like a harmonica and then adds a couple drops of oil. Works for slipjoints also.

Re: Favorite "HARD USE" Blade Steel
This is probably a subject for another thread, and I'm sure it happens all the time and I'm just not aware of it, but are there any recorded instances in recent history where someone actually used their knife to find their way of the woods and keep the plant world at bay to survive? I'm talking abou...

Re: Favorite "HARD USE" Blade Steel
To me, "hard use" is use where I expect that I might damage the edge of the blade, so I prefer steels that are easier to sharpen in those instances. VG-10, 8Cr, 1095, etc.

Re: When / where was the first time you heard of or saw a spyderco?
In 1991 at the Valley Indoor Swapmeet near my house in So.Cal there was a booth selling these "weird looking" knives with holes in the blades. A guy was demonstrating how easy it was to open with one hand. I thought they looked practical and I bought both, the small one and the big one. T...

This is all good information, but I'd like to know which single-bladed Spyderco has the most number of blades?

Re: Spyderco Centofante and other Sub-3MM Blades: Afraid of breakage or no?
If you manage to break a knife blade, then you did something stupid and the penalty for doing something so stupid is having to purchase a new knife. It's Darwinism for knife owners.

I'm pretty sure that is the first knife review video that I have seen where the reviewer is wearing pajama bottoms and slippers.

Re: S30V Only Cool if it's a Benchmade?
I worked on ocean going ships for ten years and whatever steel Buck was using in the 80's seemed to work fine for me. Also, when we needed to cut a 5" diameter line (which was not very often actually), we didn't use our pocket knives. We had an electric hot knife, which worked kind of like a ta...

Re: Best Spyderco folder for winter hike
What will you need to cut on your hike? Are we talking day hike, overnight hike with camping or the survival fantasy of being stuck in the middle of nowhere and you were too stupid to bring food, proper clothing or shelter and must now survive with only your folding knife? I can't say that I have ev...

Re: I wish spyderco offered deep carry clips
I have to admit that $25 for a small piece of metal with a bend in it seems quite excessive. You can buy a titanium spork from Amazon for $8 that has a lot more material. It's too bad they couldn't come to some sort of licensing agreement. Spyderco could make stainless ones for 30 cents a piece, giv...
