The overall finish on my Vallotton (and Navaja) seem pretty similar to my other Taiwan knives. The inside of the liners of both look pretty darn good to me. Yeah, they're not high gloss polished, but they're more than smooth enough, and evenly machined. And I really don't care if the inside of my l...

Hum. It seems I am the only one who finds the finish on the new Vallotton notably worse than on other knives from Taiwan. The one I have here [for a pass-around] has unfinished liners, and judging from the pics I have seen here and on bladeforums that is normal, it's not a lemon (at first I was real...

Shave your head. Best option IMHO. You could also start listening to OI! Punk and pretend you're a skin! ;)

(I am not balding yet, but I'm already am a "skinhead" :D )

My advice is, despite some humor, meant seriously.

Frankly, it sucks. But they're not banned, you can still own them. You can even carry them, if you have a "legal reason" - which isnt even defined yet  UK-Penknife can still be carried w/o trouble, no need to go danish yet... ;) Plus, fixed blades under 12cm bladelength are ok, too - ...

The reddish discoloration inside the holes...

...I haven't seen it on any Spydercos lately!

Chinook w/ new scales

Here's a Chinook 3 I got back two days ago - Andy Haas, a German Knifemaker, built some new G10 scales for it. Enjoy :)

Isnt H1 work-hardened? Wouldnt that mean that one could simply take it to a belt grinder?

I'm curious about the inability to be full flat ground as well.
