Cliff,

The shave was comfortable as a double edge. I have used a straight many times but I would not call myself an aficionado. My edge is also much thinner than a Military so that may play a roll as well. I did not try the HHT on the blade.

It was 25deg inclusive

I cant answer your questions using the K390 mule as the subject but how about K390 HT'd by Peter's to 63rc. It's a simple drop point blade that is .114 at the spine and .014 behind the edge
As some interesting questions which would be nice to see people comment on in Spyderco's A11 and S110V ...

Here's a copy and paste of a test I did between 10V and K390. In no way is it super accurate but it gives you an idea of what they can do

I gathered up 10 boxes and cut each in half to make sure each knife cut the same boxes. I also added whittling of some aspen I had laying around to test ...

I have to agree with this as well. The boron carbide gives steel one heck of a bite compared to diamond or CBN.
