Re: Tighe
Tip Down is the only way to carry large knives if you value ease of opening. I can go either way on smallish knives, but I do agree with the comfort factor that tip up provides that smoother part of the knife towards your incoming hand. But join the club of carrying IWB or back pocket and that issue...

Re: Tenacious' best uses and edge configuration?
The Tenacious is a good all arounder. The ergonomics are great, blade grind is good, steel is respectable and very easy to sharpen. I would have no problem relying on it for EDC, camping, tough utility, mechanic work, etc... and I have done exactly that with it when I carried it more. Lock design mi...

Re: Spyderco Military... 7 days later
My spyderco military... Years later. http://i.imgur.com/offxZBH.jpg I honestly can't remember when I got this, does anyone remember when the m4 Millie finally was released? Anyways, it has been by far my most used knife since I've had it, its just perfect when you need a real working knife of decent...

Re: Why do you think we don't see more spydercos in m4
allmost all steels rust.stainless just means stainless not rust proof.if you treat the m4 you will have no rust problems.get renaissance wax or mothers carnuba and treat and oil regularly dont leave them wet.oil befoer you go to bed.I personally like the fact you hsve to take care of m4 it installs...

Re: When is the Military 2 coming out?
I like tip up. A lot.
Tip down is the only way to carry a large knife like the Millie, though. Tip up makes no sense unless you really enjoy awkward repositioning of your hands to start the opening process.

So in the case of that rust, what's the best way to go about its removal? I like the idea of strong high carbon steels but I'm not sold on the idea my beloved knives will rust. I think that's because I'm not knowledgable on caring for these non-stainless knives yet. That miniscule amount of rust wo...

http://i.imgur.com/1FdkTY9.jpg As much as I'm pro gun, I'm very anti using fantastical claims to prove the merit of the great equalizers. I have to agree that there are a host of reasons we have not been invaded, and an armed population must rank very far down that list. I'd much rather point to th...

Standard clips are better for carrying and retrieving. I have nothing to , so deep carry is just a pain.
Dark clips get scratched up. I don't really mind this, I like a knife with patina, but that's a negative to some people...
My favorite clip is probably the shiny, curved clip on my ti/g10 Millie.
