I have 4 of these incoming from Howes (Awesome service once again, thanks Jim!), 2 are black handled PE and 2 are blue SE's, one of each will be going to my mom out in CA as I can't get out there often enough to sharpen her knives, this is a nice alternative ...

Honestly...when has Spyderco run any steel below where "it should be"?

No idea how long the list was, I should have been no. 1 or 2 on the back up list...and I got the e-mail announcing the availability in the store a few days ago. At first I was upset, because, I was no. 1 or 2 , but I got to thinking about it from a business perspective.

I think this is cool on a couple of different levels.
1. She grabbed one of your knives as a self defense tool...thinking along the right track
2. she must think you look like a young boy, because the guy was a pedo! ...and she wanted to protect you from him
