Those are some serious fasteners. They look like Torx T-50 or T-65 at first glance. They probably significantly change the balance.

They're bulky, but made of a very lightweight alloy so they don't change the balance much. No different than using on of the various wood densities seen in this ...

I ordered it from SFO, about a week ago so it should be one of the heat treated ones. I'll have to drop them a line tomorrow and see whats up!

I see that everyone that has gotten one of these has the Cruwear on the blade underlined. I just received mine today, and my knife does not have the cruwear underlined...did I manage to get one that slipped through the 2nd heat treat?
