Gee, I thought MOAB was a new release from Golden, CO - The Mother Of All Blades!!

I'ts a bit late but if you're in the area tomorrow from 9:30 to 3 there's an NCCA (Northeastern Cutlery Collectors Assn.) show at the Best Western in E. Winsor, CT. It's off Exit 45 of I-91.

There are great explanations/illustrations on opening and closing Spydies in the book - The Spyderco Story. I highly recommend it for most everything you would want to know about Spyderco.

Ditto your response yog. If I were Spyderco, I'd pass on the kits idea. No sense jeopardizing their top-notch rep. Even as a consumer, I don't think I'd be interested. The fully buit factory Spydies are far to superior.

. . . just bought a PE Vesuvius. Feels great in the hand (still talking about the knife!). I expect no problems with the lock. Like any fine piece - handle it properly and with respect and it will give you nothing but Spyderco joy!!!

Ditto ATE's response. I just got an email from Linda at glasshartt and I'm about to enter Spydie heaven - great blades for less bucks!!
