Re: Old Spyderco Gyuto
Thanks for the info Sal. :grin-big eyes It is a very nice looking knife. The handle appears to be very well sculpted. So were these made in Seki like most of Spydercos other kitchen knives? Is MBS-26 stainless, semi-stainless, or non-stainless? It’s stainless http://www.zknives.com/knives/steels/mb...

Re: The Magnacut Paramilitary 2
I really want one of the black PM2 Magnacut models but absolutely hate coated blades. I pre-ordered a Para 3 LW Magnacut for now to tide me over but I really want to see the Salt PM2 with an uncoated blade. The next PM2 with the yellow scales will be uncoated. Edit: does the coating add anything fo...

Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run
Well, there are different levels of international. Lamnia will ship for free to Norway if I spend above a certain amount, but Norway is a lot closer to Finland than NZL is, so the same shipping terms might not be available to you. Thanks! I hadn’t considered a euro dealer, they do offer free shippi...

Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run
If I can get one, it looks like the price will be the equivalent of USD 112 + VAT + processing = about USD 160. Hopefully I can avoid the shipping fee, but then I will have to buy something else as well, to get above the free shipping threshold. So not exactly free shipping :) Still not that much m...

Re: Lil Temperance 3 Pocket Clip
The Native 5 LW pocket clip looks like it has the right hole spacing. The clip won't contact the scale in the factory location, though, so even if the clip attaches it will be a pocket shredder. Pattern looks closer but still a different location in relation to the pivot, screw size is a factor to ...

Re: Lil Temperance 3 Pocket Clip
Hi Everyone, Does anyone know.of a deep pocket clip for the lil temperance 3? Do you mean for the original Lil Temperence 3 or for the Lightweight version (that is still in production) ? If it's for the lightweight, looks like a Tenacious deepcarry clip would be compatible It doesn’t quite look the...

Re: Jende Spyderco stones for guided sharpeners.
Interesting, they do list a US facility: USA - 1900 E. GIrard Pl. #300 Englewood, CO 80133 Is it possible they are cutting the spyderco 2x8 stones down and reselling them? We also switched gears with our sharpening stones to focus more on the custom cut stone sizes for the growing number of guided s...

Re: New(ish) Delica is covered in surface rust
EDIT: I didin't know this forum got so much action or I would have stayed on to answer every question. I also followed the directions of one of the posts to put up pictures. the knife is VG-10 no doubt and the rust is more than surface. I tried spraying it (soaking it0 WITH WD-40 and wrapping it wi...

For the clips, I’m pretty sure the US models are using coated steel, where the JP models are using coated titanium.
