Kardinal, I have a feeling you have some "insider information" that you should divulge here.... Otherwise, you're just pulling our legs, and leg pulling doesn't fly while I'm trying to hold on.

A better solution than heat-treatment is carbidization or Tungsten Carbide welding. Creates a highly wear resistant surface.

I don't know about Spyderco's current system, but Tungsten is the better solution.

If you like Animals as Leaders and Dream Theater, check out Symphony X and Opeth. Opeth is sorta the odd one out in the group, but still highly complex and very good.
