The Caly 3.5 is my 2nd favorite EDC knife. It's slim, light, but with a nice long blade, and does everything I need a knife to do. If this was the only EDC knife I could use for the rest of my life I would not be unhappy. Mine did need rinse with hot water, dry with compressed air, re oil treatment ...

Every S30V knife I've had has been great at keeping an edge, I've never really felt like I needed a better steel. VG-10 though could be better, my Caly 3.5 get's dull rather quickly. I totally blunted the tip once opening a clam shell package.

You won't regret it if you send it to me ;)

Caly 3.5 inbound!

Been eyeing a CF/ZDP Caly 3.5 for a couple months now but I just saw a VG-10 model on the bladeforums exchange for $65 and I couldn't resist :D I'm super stoked for it to get here so I can start carrying it! :spyder:

How are y'all liking your 3.5s?

I've seen plenty of pinned knives (mostly Vic) modded to torx, just a matter of finding right size hardware. While your at it you should replae the scales with something classy like ironwood or cocobolo.

How would you rate the quality on your Caly 3/3.5 CF ZDP?

So I'm considering getting rid of my Para2 and replacing it with something I will carry more often. Since my most carried blade is my BM 940 Osbourne I figured I'd take a look at the similar size/proportion Caly 3.5. I dislike pocket-eating G10 so I think I'd go with the CF ZDP variant. In my resear...

It's a rare Endura misprint, that's why it says Delica. It was also printed in the wrong size.

I wouldn't recommend regularly flicking any comp lock knife. When my PM2 was new the lockup was about where yours is now but after a few months of EDC it had worn in all the way over to the other side. That's when I decided to save my flicking for my linerlock and axis lock knives.

Seems like most knife laws are intent based, as long as you're being responsible I doubt any cop would have a problem with it.

Most of Spyderco's models use lockbacks, so I doubt you're alone. My collection has one comp lock, and that's it.
