Thanks. I'll try them both. I'm just not sure how they will affect stains. They both seem like surface solutions. I'll give em a go though.

Grey G10 Cleaning and Stain Solutions

Hey everyone! Looking for some help and advice. I just got a Para 2 Grey Sprint in recently and noticed it had some stains in the G10. Some of them are light, others are almost bluish. I've tried scrubbing with a toothbrush and alcohol. I've tried WD-40 and other lubricants. I've tried dish soap. I'...

Don't let ZDP-189 intimidate you, you just need to touch it up every once in awhile *before* it gets extremely dull. It's hard to go wrong with the Sharpmaker if you have that, and adding the diamond rods for it makes it pretty straightforward to sharpen even duller knives. The key is patience, and...

For your purposes, H1. For overall uses, ZDP. For plain edge, not H1. The Plain Edge H1 will get harder and stronger as you use it and sharpen it, but the D'fly being such a small blade seems to shed much steel before this happens fully. The SpyderEdge version is already work hardened into the serra...

Thanks guys! Let me ask one more question, with the Knifes plus strop, do you add a compound on top of the already green leather? No, just use it as it is. Every year or so clean it with oil, and clean compound will surface, and the steel will leave. I'd recommend the Stropman's strops though. AMAZ...

I have an Endura ZDP. I have a Lansky and I didn't hate it until I sharpened ZDP on it. It will sharpen fine, I have mine to a mirror polish with the UF stone. BUT, it sucked. Since the Endura is FFG, I had to like the clamp with a cloth, because the angled blade would move around in the clamp. Yet,...

It took me about 2 hours on a Lansky to reprofile one side and mirror the entire blade. Now I just keep up on it with a strop system. Definitely one of my sharpest.

many recommendations for a Millie. I dunno. I have a P2, which has a way better lock than the Millies, IMO. Is it worth getting a frame/liner Millie, or does the Para2 fulfill that role?

I've wanted a dragonfly for a LONG time. I guess I'll have to get one next. H1 or VG-10...hmmmm...

Caly 3 lock up problem?

Hey guys, maybe you can recommend a step of action. I've got a Caly 3 ZDP, and I LOVE it. However, since I've had it, the lockback has been a little funny. When I deploy the knife, the lock clicks strongly into position, however, when I release the lock, there is also a distinct click, as the tip of...

d'fly!

I'd go with the Dragonfly. All of it's models (H1 or VG-10) come with a steel that will beat BD-1, IMO. I think the blade shape is much more aesthetically sexy. The only thing you might find is that, it too, is a small knife. The UK will give you, IMO, a fuller size for the hand.

Endura ZDP or ParaMillie (for the sole reason that it has a better lock-up, which is more important to me than the length difference between the para and the full Millie)

Hey guys, looking for where I should expand my collection to next! What do you think? Pictured here:
Delica ffg VG-10 Delica ZDP-189 UKPK G-10 S30v Tenacious Para-Millie 2 S30v Endura ffg ZDP-189 :)
I also have a Caly 3 CF ZDP-189 in the mail! Can't wait for it. The parts of a ZDP knife are not ZDP. Think of how specialized every knife would have to be, every different steel having it's own different hardware in a specific steel. And even getting a steel as expensive as ZDP, keeping the prices down, and essentially wasting such a high quality steel on parts...

Announced this SHOT show, Caly 3.5 in Carbon Fiber handles, most like with ZDP laminate in the vein of the current Caly 3. I think announcement early spring.
