Pretty bummed that the shelter cove is a budget knife. Been waiting so long for a premium fillet knife from Spyderco.

The Buttonup looks like it was designed by committee. Like they asked ai to design a spyderco and it just mashed Spyderco’s best selling models together.

Why do you prefer the Chaparral?

I had initially narrowed my list down to these 4: Delica, Native, Sage and Chaparral. From there I narrowed it down to the Native. But I'm open to having my mind changed.

FRN Chaparral internals compatible with Maple Chaparral?

When the serrated FRN chaparral comes out, I am hoping to move the serrated blade into my Maple chaparral.

Generally the lockbar and the blade need to stay together and I know the FRN chaparral has slightly different internals than the rest of the models.

Only really carry three these days. Dragonfly Monday-friday, chaparral on weekends, and GB2 when doing anything outdoors
