Re: Native Scout?
Background: I own five Native 5's. I recently picked up a brown G10 / M390 Native Chief because I was wanting something a bit longer. The Chief is great, but it's a bit too long, and by not adding height to scales and blade the proportions are thrown off. I strongly prefer the bias toward closure o...

Pictures would help, but: sounds pretty normal for a production knife.

Re: Can we get some Ultem scaled Sekis please?
I’d much rather have FRN. Other than being translucent, Ultem is an inferior material in every way.

Re: Spyderco Southard
This thread is making me want to get out my Southard with the STR clip. Steve was really great guy, one of those people who was just interested in others and available for any kind of conversation. He threw in a little Ti prybar when I got my Southard clip just because he wanted to give me one. I b...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
https://i.imgur.com/1hn8RBC.jpg Finally got my M4 Tenacious back from W&R, about a month turnaround. I had stripped out one of the standoffs when disassembling for RIT dye. I was pretty disappointed with my dye job, but apparently it was good enough that W&R thought this was an OD Green Ten...

Really like the quote scroll and mention features, thank you @TazKristi (don't think the mention feature is working yet).
I feel like maybe some of the colors need to be adjusted - gray on gray is pretty low contrast, might be difficult for some folks to read.

Got the Benchmade 940-1 in the mail today 😃 Don't have much experience with Benchmade (4th one) but was happy to find it was very well tuned out of the box. No blade play, nicely centered and good action. I still have the classic 940 on my list, just one of those knives that I think any real collec...

Welcome, Bernhard!
I would echo Sal here, however I would add that the Native 5 is an excellent alternative to the Delica if you prefer something made in the United States.

15V Millie 2 is pretty sweet, not going to lie. May be the closest I ever get to a K390 Millie 2.
Should still have time to buy the Crucarta first, though.

Re: Seki City back lock quality in 2022?
I love Spydercos knives but I don't feel like you made a fair comparison. edit: lol, just noticed how old this post was of yours.... Ehhhhh I stand by it. To be fair, I should mention that the comparison is about 15 years old. I used to sell them side by side with Spyderco in college, and at that p...

Re: Weird streaks/scratch in DLC?
Yeesh.
DLC is some tough stuff, but you can still grind it off. It looks like your sharpener laid it down on a belt sander or buffing wheel and started taking the dlc off.
Can’t put it back on easily.

Re: Sal, Zoomer help please
Sharpening a convex knife isn’t too bad, especially if you don’t have to fix a chip. You put some sand paper on a leather strop or mousepad and go to town.
If you’re more of a fixed-angle guy KME makes a convex attachment.

I have the 7" Cobras, but unfortunately can't find them right now. I last remember having them while installing a trailer hitch on my car. Come to think of it, that was the last time I saw my Olight, too. Hmm.... I don't think I need to EDC one, but the small ones are cute. I'd like a 10" ...

Wasn’t the Lil’ Native offered as a back lock, comp lock, and slipjoint?
I would think that Lil’ Native sales might give a good indication of the market’s preferences.
