Got mine today....got a question, just before the blade closes do you guys hear rubbing sound? Dont hear it on g10 or my h1 drangon...I do hear it on my orange one also. Im "riding" the blade home.

"Best" is up to you. A sharp PE knife will drag less. It allows a more secure grip and tends to ride clothing less. Almost all self defense knives are PE.

Really though you can defend yourself with anything. There is a guy recently in Africa who fought off three people with machetes using a hammer ...

I think in the $100 bracket manix 2 or xl is probably your best bet. Paramilitary 2 would be right there as well but it's approx $10 more

Is the manix2 XL only comes in plain blade?
