1992 Dodge Dakota that would randomly stall on the interstate. I had to pull to the side of the road and beat on the ECU to get it to start again  .

I don't know about Spyderco's current system, but Tungsten is the better solution.
wouldn't that just cause excess wear on the tang of the blade?

With a grip to the rear of the knife, not using the slight choil and with my thumb on the ramp, I have easily stabbed through drywall repeatedly, killed a big jack o' lantern to death by stabbing and buried the knife into rolls of sod. And my grip never even shifted, let alone slipped in any way ...

Personally I didn't think I would like the Gayle Bradley just from looking at it in the 2012 Spyderco catalog. I had never actually held one though until I was at SMKW s couple of weeks ago. After getting to handle one I still did'nt like it because it is too straight and slick and doesn't lock ...

If you have a Dremel, i would smooth down the spine until it hits the edge. If you bring the edge up to the spine, it's going to leave the tip sort of tanto-ish and take forever and a lot of sharpening to bring the tip back to a good point. If you bring the spine down you also won't lose any more ...

There is one seller that does this all of the time with Spyderco knives. Makes me wonder if the seller ever actually sells anything.
I ended up creating a saved search on ebay with the seller "classiccutleryusa" excluded. It helped a LOT.

i hate when sellers post hundreds of knives at starting bids higher than prices on normal websites... makes it take a lot longer to find legitimate auctions when i have to scroll through 10 pages of spam.
