age old question
In my lifetime, I have never found a use for a serrated edge. First, but not formost, it is more difficult for me to sharpen. Can you use it as a wood carving knife? Is it good at sliting envelopes? Is it as good as a plain edge when gutting a deer? Is it better when stripping insulation from a wire...

blade number
I purchased a Wegner Jr. at the BF sale forum to match my large Wegner. It has a 3 digit number stamped on the blade and printed on the box. Was this a special run? Any idea of production date? Thanks,
Jerry

I want one! Have been carrying Buck 503's for years and have lost and given away some of these. The blade of the latest one is almost impossible to put an edge on, and if I do get a good edge it looses it after opening mail. These knives fit perfectly into the watch pocket of my jeans. Have been loo...

Who was responsible for the Spyder/edge and the Spyder/hole? Are these patented? Seems to be Spyderco's signature. When I first saw these knives I thought they were ugly. After reading all the testimonials for a Wegner and buying one, I got hooked. I guess you just have to handle one to appreciate i...

Outdoor America shows 3 Wegner plain and 3 partially serrated in their inventory. Think they are liquidating knives. I may buy another Wegner since they are being discontinued. Their price is $74.40 each.

I posted this question on Knife Forums but didn't get an answer. I can get a super deal on a Peter Herbst folder with aluminum handles etc. On another web site for $20 more I can get a newer version with VG10 steel and titanium blades. Any opinions? Is is worth the $20? I just signed up here so excu...
