I stuck the palm of left hand with my Endura while trying to open a blister pack. No stitches, minor scar.

I flew Denver to Phoenix last month for my Grandson's 4th birthday. Quick trip, so just a carry-on. I stopped by Home Depot and picked up a cheap box cutter. I thought about mailing a knife to my hotel, but didn't want to risk losing a Spyderco. Then I discovered Rough Riders. I could send one to my ...

"I always have my Assist clipped to my drivers side visor."

I had a rescue knife, I think a Gerber, clipped to my driver's side visor a couple of months ago when a kid texting on smart phone hit me from behind at 40 mph while I was stopped at a light. Totalled my 2009 Xterra. I was surprised at the ...

"This is a good kid,” Gulbrandsen said.

Yeah, right. He stabbed three, killing one.

Men who wear watches spend time waiting for those who don't. Just my experience. I wear a $50 field watch all the time except when I'm working around machinery or some place else it might get hung up.

I've owned several Spydercos, but the only one I have now is an old Endura. I do carry it every day clipped inside my waistband. I rotate through 3-4 smaller knives in my pocket. The Native 5 with G10 scales is tempting me, however.

This is why I carry two knives. If I need the Endura to cut up cardboard or whatever, I still have an edge in reserve. Maybe three if the backup is a stockman slippie.

I carry an Endura III the way the OP describes. It's not horizontal, rather vertical. I don't wear suits or slacks. The Endura is comfortable in my Carhartt dungarees and with the clip behind the belt, not readily visable. Although in Wyoming, no one cares much about how you carry your knife. Just ...
