Re: Rehabilitating Old Leather? Especially Old Leather Washers

JD, I collect baseball gloves, mainly Horween Rawlings gloves. The only three products in my house right now are Obenauf’s Heavy Duty LP, Lexol, and Surf City Voodoo blend. All three are excellent leather products! I don’t actually condition the entire glove with Obenauf’s, beeswax is a natural seal...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

Just got back from handling a OD Green CZ P-09 9mm, very impressed! A little odd how the slide goes down inside the frame which makes the slide so shallow / short to grab. Don’t own a CZ (yet) but don’t think I’ve ever heard anything bad about them, they seem to have a huge following!

Re: Lower Back Pain

Glad you finally got some relief Doc! Fortunately I've never suffered from any back issues, just my knees! My Dad was a tough, old school, hard working man, a man's man! Probably the last 20 years before he passed away I'd see him get down in his back maybe twice a year, it's the only thing I ever s...

Re: What knives in your collection keep wow-ing you?

I know I’m way late to the party, just bought both a Ranger Green 204P and a Red M390 DLT PM2, the Red M390 just blows me away everyday, that knife is perfect!

Re: Game Of Thrones - a reflection

I got to see enough of GOT to get the gist of it, and I liked it! Always wondered just how much the production cost was to shoot that show and some of those scenes? Huge $$$$$. The way you feel about GOT is the way I felt about “24” the first couple of seasons! I used to get mad when it was over, an...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

A little update on the Inkosi...I got to work on it last night for an hour before bed. I will say, I'm glad CRK uses a rather soft S35VN, because the steel is grinding away MUCH quicker than any of the Spyderco steels I've been working with recently. That 25-27 degree bevel is, as of now down to ex...

Re: A larger Dragonfly

Hi Benben, It wasn't a "new guy prompt". It was a "here's another of the many requests". So I felt there were enough requests that I can see if it will work. I'll need to mod sketches, make plastic models, refine until I get something that I think will work and is not covered by another model. I ag...

Re: A larger Dragonfly

I’m all for it, but why now?? This has been talked about and brought up numerous without so much as a “maybe we’ll look into it?” New guy shows up and suggest a larger DF and Sal chimes in immediately, and I thought JD had the clout around here! Next time I have a suggestion I’m going to run it by N...

Re: My 1st CRK

Man you guys are a bunch of enablers! I've been casually looking for a CRK for a while, but I'm still not sure which model/size I prefer.. probably the Sebenza 31.. and I LOVE the Insingo blade shape. I tend to like the more plain models though vs. the ones with graphics or fancy inlays that are cu...

Re: Dear Enablers - Help me decide...

Hey Jason, just so I can hopefully confuse you just a little more, if you're wanting to try a serrated edge, find yourself a Pacific Salt in H1. It's a serious cutting pocket chainsaw! It's very tough and carries so well, and is super easy to sharpen! You honestly can't go wrong with any of the choi...

Haven’t been there in awhile, but a very well known, huge gun shop in Charlotte still had an original Starmate in their knife case! Not sure if it’s still there today though?
