Why would anyone want to do that? It's a great little blade.

It's been a LOONG time since I last posted on this forum, and for that I am ashamed.. It took a :spyder: sighting in The Blacklist to get back over here.. Hopefully to stay. :)

Anyhow.. A rare Volpe sighting in S1 Ep4 about 21min in.

I noticed something that has me curious.. Sorry if it's already been discussed, I must have missed it while drooling over the knife pron..

Anyhow. The 'Bug' etching looks different than any other Spydie I own, or have seen. It appears to have a raised outline, like it was heat-stamped, or some such ...

How about pics you had intentions of submitting, but forgot? :o

That looks awesome! It will lighten in time as well. SB seems to change everyday you use it

It looks much darker than the pics, but I like it! Once I poured all those chemicals on it, it's become my work knife.. No more cheese. lol

Yeah.. I'm a bit stymied at the moment. I'd like to post em.. Can't figure out how.

The severity of the results were unexpected.. But after some pondering, I've decided I like it. Gave it sort of a damascus look..

I was over at my Dads place 10 or so years ago, and he asked to see my knife--an SS Dragonfly.. He loved it, so I went and bought him one ...

My personal favorites are the PPT and Gayle Bradley.

PPT, Sage 2, and Brown Para 2.

Admittedly, I have very limited experience with Cuscadi scales, having only ordered 1 set.. for a PM2.
However, he was nothing but up-front and professional with me, and the scales arrived quickly, and as promised.
Maybe he just has something going-on that prevents such quick service?

I'm in. But I'll put different scales on it. Not a big fan of the Smurf-blue. Love the steel, though.
I would carry the one I have now more often if it had earth-toned scales.

Well, I ain't going to win any awards for my fit and finish work, but I will be going back and to clean up the edges. Adding that little notch made all the difference and this knife works a lot better for me now. Thanks again for the help and advice.

I've made a slight mod to mine.. And made a bit larger one for a forum member..
It's really simple:
Just disassemble the knife, and use a Dremel to remove some stock in the liner and scale. Then sand and polish (with the dremel), and viola!

Note: The scales are carbon fiber.. nasty stuff to inhale ...

I can't speak to one I've never carried, but the Zulu was underwhelming.
Not the blade shape, but the handles lack of heft and a bit of length.
I never felt comfortable using it for more than ultra-light tasks.. Just didn't feel comfortable in my hand.
But that's more a personal preference..

Late to the party on this one, but I would like to add my backing for the Millie.
It's the perfect outdoor knife. (unless Spyderco makes an XL PPT, that is :p )
