That's one heck of a mirror edge you have there. Great background to demonstrate it too.
When I find the time (never) I'll post all my sprint knives, because they all get used.

Girlfriend's review of Ladybug

Earlier this year I was looking for a pair of white Ladybugs, one for me and one for my girlfriend. I made a little lanyard for it in brown leather like I had on my white Delica which I knew she liked and gave it to her for our first year together in April. As she says she has enjoys using it a lot,...

Just saw something on 9gag: http://9gag.com/gag/4656967 Seems like 2 customized Crickets to me, with titanium! Probably still just VG-10. It's from the movie called 'Superhero movie' from 2008. Here's the scene on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eis7U7BTgj0 And another sighting while I was b...

Well, I just got my copper embassy pen in the mail from CountyComm, and dang that thing is heavy! I could see how someone could use it in a tactical way if they aren't allowed to have a knife on them but you have to be a real fighter. I wouldn't like to get hit in the head or let alone the temple wi...

Well, I have been carrying this knife for a while now and the summary: What a shame they are discontinuing this one. Get it while you can! I mean, the blade shape is wonderful, thin but not too thin, the spring is good, it does need some break in because it can be rather stiff, the feel and sound of...

I like a few of his 'reality checks' and follow ups, like the time he cut himself with the Tenacious because the blade retention sucked, or because he had a blue Delica lying a whole night in the snow to show how little rust had formed and what kind of quality steel VG-10 is. I also think he's compe...

I would love and buy it. Although I do understand the difficulties of designing a new model and it could be a long process, I'd imagine it a bit like the Persistence (the mini-para), the Tenacious (para), Resilience (mili). I think of the Persistence and Ambitious just shorter versions of the Tenaci...

Thanks for all the replies guys, makes my consideration a lot easier. That wharncliffe looks nice although I'm not really into brightly colored handles, maybe I should get over that and just do that another time. About the great deals on eBay: there are some great deals, yes, only problem for me is ...

Who knows, maybe Sal is cooking up a new Spyderco model with a 'superoversized spydiehole' or something like that. You know, for big guys and such.

One more for the Urban. If you want variety get both blade shapes, but not the Cricket. If I had the money to get both shapes, I would've bought the green Urban and the Cricket ;) @dbcad: thanks for the size comparison with the Dragonfly. The Urban's size looks perfect! @cobrajoe: how's the tip hol...

I vouch for that. Good idea you have there. The only thing that I would be concerned of is that if you don't want the seal (because you opened it), the box coating will be torn.

New knife: Urban or Cricket?

I'm going to buy a new Spyderco for my collection, only I'm a bit torn between these two: the plain edge ss Cricket and the foliage green Urban. I live in the Netherlands, so the lock doesn't matter. The few things that do matter to me are: Pocket clip Although I don't use clips a lot, the Cricket h...

Usually Spydercos are designed with the idea of function over form so I think it's still pretty suitable :) If I really see it as an excuse to wear my knives clipped, I'll probably try one.
