Yeh, so maybe LEO's can't imagine what they'd use a knife for too, but it just might come in handy some time. I'm not thinking about a knife fight too. :)

Don't get me wrong! I'm not saying cops don't need a knife, I'm just saying their requirements don't seem to be so very different than those ...

Torch, did you anticipate using your knife as a handhold on that tin roof?

Anticipate it? **** no! I'm not even sure why the idea occurred at the moment it happened. It was one of those time-slowed-down moments, for sure.

Well, as I said, there's a technique. I hesitated to go further than that because I don't want kids trying this on their neighbours' cars, but I guess youtube has let that particular cat out of the bag!

Notice the fellow with the Spyderco just tapped the window -- his arm rebounded instead of ...

Ok, that worked. Must've been the picture. Let's try a story:

I was on my way home from work on my motorcycle a few years ago when I came upon an accident that had just occured. The car was on it's side in the ditch and flames were visible in the engine compartment. A couple of other people had ...

Test

Well I posted a pic and some stories, but they haven't shown up. Maybe the spam filter figured the picture was too graphic? We'll see if this makes an appearance.

Thanks for the welcome, and all the suggestions. It's given me a lot to research.

Here's a picture of the poor thing, as requested:

Introduction and request for recomendations

I'm a firefighter with almost 25 years on the job. I've been carrying a Police model for the last 18 or 20 years and overall have been very pleased with it's performance, on and off the job.

At times I've abused it far ...
