Right, it seems like the more natural thing would be to have it on the right like a sushi knife...

maybe we can get some feedback on this from the big boys ?

why would you prefer a hollow grind or sabre grind to a flat grind, the flat grind provides the least resistance, is there a downside to it and would it not also be the best for defense ?

the right side is flat and the left side is serrated (spyderedge) and only ground on that side. standard serrated Endura, the same as they have always been. i guess that would qualify as chisel ground (?). it seems that it would cut better with 2 ground edges working together, the unground side ...

grind on the left ?

for a right hand knife, should the grind be on the right of the blade, it seems my Endura would be a left hand knife since the grind is on the left and the flat (unground) side is on the right. also, is the added expense the reason that the blade isn't ground on both sides ?

had the same experience with the Carbon V Kobun i had before, it's also much more $ than the stainless (AUS-8 i think), i don't like the serrations on the CS (prefer ) but thats the only way you can get the Desparado, i would like one ...

i too prefer the , but the Kobun is only $31 and the Desparado $39, a couple of inexpensive users, and you don't have to feel bad if you mess them up.

ended up getting some sort of brown goop at ACE hardware, didn't work that well, ended up
polishing the clip with some very fine sandpaper and steel wool, it's almost as shiny as the stainless ones, a little more metal-glo.
the shiny clip looks so much better on the FRN handle, why bother ...
