Re: What is your favorite high Carbon non stainless steel?

K390 was my long time top steel. This year I get 15V wich I like very much as well and my second try on Maxamet. After a month Maxamet is everything I read about and everything I hoped it will be. With zero complain so far. Agressive edge, no sign of dulling, easy to strop and tough enough for my use.

Very nice work RustyIron.
I put 15DPS on my Microjimbo 15V, but only to 800 grit diamond. Like it with some bite🤪

Re: MicroJimbo 15v

Microjimbo is best Janich design for me. When You watch the video of him talking how it was created. Awsome😆Basicaly destiled all the great things to the small package. I love the smooth lines, no jimping, fits my larger hand more than I thought would be possible.

Re: Could we ever see a PM3 LW in K390?

Agree. Ergonomics of Lil temperance 3 is some level higher than most Spyderco models. Also the grind is very good for a 4mm blade stock. I would say Its better slicer than Para3. It was a big surprise for me how much I like this knife when I got it. Some poeple used to ask for a 3 inch Gayle Bradley ...

Re: Could we ever see a PM3 LW in K390?

My advice would be try to get some 15V. Its awsome steel with more edge retention, more corossion resist, still fairly easy to strop or sharpen. And as a a bonus. This is our last chance to get one, or two and enjoy it😇
Maybe some shop have P3LW 15V still on stock. Native 5 Lw 15V should be also out ...

Re: Microjimbo or Lil Native Wharnecliffe?

Microjimbo hands down. You can choose Blue Spy27, or pink S30v, or brown 15V wich is my pick. When You study MBC and have small hands. Want some friendly color. Even if You only like wharncliffe blade as a utility knife, as I do. Microjimbo is great 👌 I have larger hands, but the ergo and control ...

Re: New Native 5 S90V with carbon fiber

I asked because I have an s110v in g10 with liners. I think I would prefer liners. But I get it … it’s cheaper to make and lighter.

Sorry I have not seen it until recently.

I was thinking another in 15v or pay an extra $40 for S90v? (I guess it matters if I want stainless)

15V is very ...

Re: Real World User Experience Sharpening CPM 15V

Nice edge👍 What angle is that?

Thanks. It was freehanded so not 100% sure. Threw it in my guided system and it was about 13dps, though I'm not sure I trust that measurement. So I'd say between 13-15dps in actuality.

Even more impresive 👍 Looks like from some fixed angle system. 13-15 is ...

Re: Real World User Experience Sharpening CPM 15V

Finally got around to reprofiling my Native 5 LW. Used a Shapal 325gr diamond plate to set the bevel, then refined the edge on a Naniwa 400gr resin bonded diamond stone. Haven't used the Naniwa too much but it's starting to grow on me. Might grab the 1000gr version of this stone.

Stropped with ...

Re: The MicroJimbo reviewed: The Yojimbo 2 as a "little big knife"

I was waiting for some interesting steel option. Grabed the 15V and love it. Was a bit worried about the size, but it fits mine large hands with no trouble. Action is amazing, ceramic detent from factory, nice smooth stonewash, slice very good for a 3.7mm blade stock, put a titanium deep carry clip ...

Re: What are your top 5 Spydercos right now?

1, Microjimbo 15V 😈 Great little wharncliffe, amazing action and execution out of Golden, suprisingly good ergos for my big hands in many grips, 15V from BBB is no brainer. I love K390 and this seems like a nice upgrade

2, 3, Native Salt serrated LC200N in dark green. More than two years my #1 ...

Re: The Native 5 has grown on me

I love the Native LW. Serrated LC200N is my main EDC for two years. Its light, compact, full stainless, strong lock, easy to disassemble, great ergo. I was worried about the infamous "blocky" handle, so I avoid it for years. Gave it a chance and it feels great on hand.

Last week I get the plain ...
