I have a few. Right favorite right now is satin blade/digicam G10. My second favorite is satin blade/black G10. I have the CTS-20CP sprint run, but don't care for the handle color much. Next I want to get the black blade/digicam G10 model.

The Knives Plus strop block is just plain awesome. I love mine and went through some of my users and stropped them while sitting in my recliner earlier today. Strops are indispensable.

Glad to hear your son will be alright and that you were able to act immediately to help him. He is a very brave boy. I hope he recovers quickly. I'm very glad you had your Caly 3.5 with you and that you were able to use it to protect your son. :)

I have been using 3-in-1 oil for the past year. However, I just ordered some Chris Reeve fluorinated grease. I plan on disassembling my gritty Tenacious and see how it performs.

That UKPK is more and more tempting. Thanks for your thoughts and video. I think I am going to pull the trigger on one tomorrow. Now just to pick the blade shape. :-)

I think both look great. I have the satin blades, but agree that the DLC coated blades look great. Yes, the coating will come off with use, but I agree with the others that say it adds character. The coating won't inhibit your cutting ability. The only reason I could think for avoiding a coated ...

I usually reprofile my knives to 40 degrees inclusive for use on my Sharpmaker. Sometimes, though, I will sharpen to 36 degrees inclusive on my Edge Pro.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that happened man. That would ruin my day too. What are the chances your knife would land that way again? That's crazy.

I have the 3.5 in VG10 and have my eye on this one. I would say too that it is a light duty knife. Ergonomics are great and the wire clip is very discreet. I don't have experience with Super Blue steel, but I hear good things and as Chuck_Roxas45 pictures have shown, it patinas quickly so it will ...

I definitely recommend a Sharpmaker. You will need the diamond rods if you need to do any reprofiling to match the 30 or 40 degrees it is set for. The ultra fine rods you can get later if money is tight.
