Re: MAPLE CHAP SHIPPING TO DEALERS WOO HOO

Got mine last night. It's my favorite Chap thus far. It came slightly off center with a small amount of side to side play that remained despite tightening the pivot. So I took it apart. The internals make me appreciate the quality even more. The posts on the clip side are all D shaped. Tolerances a...

Re: Yard knife

Boom. High five, fellow yard work Cruwear user. :p IMO, Cruwear is perfect for the yard. It's stainless enough you don't have to worry about all the muck you may encounter, it's tough enough that you don't have to worry about all the hard stuff you may inadvertently run into, and it's easy enough t...

Maxamet Millie?

PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE??? Now that the Para 2 is getting the Maxamet treatment, is it reasonable to assume that the Military will follow? I truly hope so. I have been holding out on a non-lightweight Maxamet model, and now that the Para 2 is ...

Ti/Elmax Urban?

I, like many others, have been quite happy to see runs of some of our favorite Slipits in higher-end materials. The Squeak and the Pingo are already awesome knives, but to see them decked out in Ti & Elmax put a smile on my face. Now we have the K390 run of the Urban at an extremely affordable p...

Re: New Leafstorm by Kevin Wilkins

It looks like Kevin has slightly altered the design, making the handle a little more ergonomic and giving more room for a fuller grip behind the guard. That should quell most of the complaints that people had with the original version. Maybe it's time for a Leafstorm2...

Yeah...I'm not quite there yet. For the money I personally would be more interested in something like a Strider, but that's just a style preference. Then again, I've never handled a Sabenza, so perhaps seeing really is believing. That is to say, I don't question the quality or whether it's worth th...

Glad to hear your purchase was worthwhile. I took the Sebenza plunge for the first time last year, and it took A LOT of deliberating before I finally decided to pull the trigger. Spending a bunch of money on a knife was a tough thing to justify. However, it opened up my eyes to a new side of the add...

Flashlights for sure. I've been getting into modded lights lately. It's all just a matter of time before I turn to customs. Other than that, I'd say great food and great wine. Living in DC, I have access to a veritable cornucopia of each and spend a lot of my hard-earned dollars in that department.

For 1xCR123a lights, I'm a big fan of the EagleTac D25C Clicky. I often carry the Ti version with a neutral white XM-L2 emitter. I highly recommend either this or it's aluminum counterpart. Another great light I carry a lot is Oveready's Peak Logan with 4000k neutral white XP-G2 emitter. Peak's UI i...

You need to carry these knives to appreciate them, no problems with the heat treat, Chris Reeve knows what he's doing. If you just look at the lock you can see why it costs $410, he is the inventor and perfecter of the integral lock, there are no concave surfaces or steel inserts. No stick, slip or...

The starbenza is another model I love the look of, but want to handle one before I commit. Funny you say that. For my brother's recent bday, I got him a Lg Starbenza. It's awesome, and the Sm Starbenza is next on my list because of it. I personally like it a lot more than the plain janes - you get ...

I can not tell a lie. I have wanted one of these since 2008. Finally sold some other less interesting brands to get this. Amaxing F&F. http://24.media.tumblr.com/7eeeee8c92ff209d9a3ca73f1ce409a1/tumblr_mpyedqhHhS1rsbaybo1_1280.jpg I'm kinda disappointed they changed the pivot on the Zaan. I lik...
