Pocket Hobbit/Warrior Still?

Hello,

Anyone know if this is still in the works to happen one day?

Or has it been dropped?

Thanks

I think you must have some patience ;) At the Spyderco meet we saw a Prototype (not a concept model), so nearly production, of the fixed P'kal. If I remember well the knife was called the "Reverse" because you can swith over the G-10 handle scales so you can configure the knife edge-in or...

Thanks. Chuck_roxas45. I also I personally feel both point of the convo, so I think its probably best in my opinion to find some medium, where the blade still is strong...but of course, duh, is easily concealed...and has less drag. But I also agree that a broken blade is not a good thing either when...

ugh...I assume some of those refrences are others screen names....so the gist of that was that indeed they are working on it and it might happen...maybe.

Fixed Blade P'kal

Ok, so I know there were some custom/semi custom ones from Shivworks and various other makers that have copied the idea....

But any chance for a Spydie made fixed blade of the P'kal?

that would be pretty awesome.

Folder, Trainer, and Fixed blade.

Crow all.you want because someone else agrees with you, but we'll just have to see what the spydercrew comes up with. :p Dude, I meant that I'm glad I'm not the only one interested...and was surprised to find more than a few people who agreed with how I felt on the lock. Cause its a popular lock ty...

Since the Chinook line was developed for MBC I really see no need for a super steel personally. As far as I'm concerned fighting knives don't need too much edge retention. I'd be overjoyed if the knife was kept S30v, if only to keep the cost down. I can't afford a +$200 Spydie very often, like once...

So why not just watch the various exchanges? A 3 occasionally comes up for sale. I get that too but all I'm saying is that if anybody just wants a regular chinook 2 or 3, then they can snag one by watching the exchanges for not a lot more than what they were going for when they were in production. ...

As I understand, Eric is working on a new Chinook, probably with a caged ball lock. Any suggetions would be appreicated at this stage of development. sal Well I'd probably get it either way but I'd personally request something other than the caged ball lock. I've had bad experiences with them and f...

I like the 2 best I think, but the 3 isn't bad.

Also I don't care bout super steels and what not. S30v is just fine, D2 would be cool. Ultimately I just want a good steel. But it dosn;t have to be the latest flavor. I don't care. Also there is no need to make it more expensive than it needs to be.

They are still excellent knives, and defensive one at that still in my mind...reverse or standard, and I still want one. Bad.

BTW I am a fan of Warhncliffe too, My Yo2 is one of my fave knives ever.

Hasn't been my experience with the chinook 3 with the cutting dummy tests I did. Dr. Snubnose says the chinook 1 and 2 do much better so it's probably not a characteristic of trailing points. I've also marked with sharpie the edge and did some pressure cutting tests on the chinook 3 and it seems th...

Could you elaborate? I have 3 chinook 3's which I originally got for a dedicated SD knife. I tried carrying it an using it for EDC but I find that effective edge length is really reduced on an exagerated trailing point. It makes it a very good slasher as well as Penetration. At least when talking P...
