Re: Serration idea/question

As you sharpen your serrations on the 204 Triangle Sharpmaker, using equal strokes (1 to 1 ratio) you will effectively start to grind in a bevel on the non-ground side of the edge. This will also help to reduce/eliminate the "walk" during the cut.

Re: Spyderco Army Knife

How about a variation on the Dyad but with three blades. Perhaps call it the Triad: Use the Dyad blades and then add a PE Wharncliff blade.

Following the calendar...poll

How many of my fellow forum members are trying to carry the model(s) highlighted each month of the Spyderco Calendar? The thought came to me as I switched to August. I'm going to do my best, how about you fine gents and ladies?

Flatiron in H1 would be outstanding and Impala in an upgraded steel for PE edge retention. The Spot in SE H1 would be brilliant as well.

Hi Mike, Cliff's post is accurate. The angle that is in place is lower/thinner than the angles you are accustomed to using on your sharpening system. This works in your favor from my point of view. The backbevel angle on the Sharpmaker is to thin out the edge geometry so when you just need a quick t...

I have purchased badly damaged Spyderco's in the past and repaired them to a usable status. Some of my favorite knives to use are the ones I rescued from ...
